Before you even plan your next ski trip try to maintain a steady and regular fitness program.

Becoming a happy solid confident skier requires many factors. Looking after yourself comes first, without that nothing else can work.

Your personal fitness and wellbeing are all part of the journey to ultimate skiing.

Good fitness is paramount if you wish to develop your full skiing potential to the max. Skiing well on and off piste requires excellent cardiovascular, strength and flexibility.

The secret is to make the most of your spare time and plan regular fitness trips to the gym, try running in your local park or take out your road or mountain bike. Swimming is always great, reducing impact on your joints.

You should also dedicate 'quality' time to warming up and stretching during all workouts. This is often overlooked. People tend to get overly excited and caught up in the haste of the moment.

Proper Powerful Warmup and Stretching routines will optimise your body and balance your energy, sharpening your mind for much improved performances. Afterall, you're aiming for excellence right!
